896. the violet blue of garden’s last sweet pea splashing against the yellow of marigold, the orange blaze of maples

897. Shalom’s sing song, perched on pillow, as we begin our day:

898. the flake of Granny’s pastry
899. the pop of old mason jars opening up sealed sweet

900. scooping pulpy squash out of warm skins
901. leaves, gilded and red, caught by wet windshields
902. “I will give thanks to the Lord, with all my heart,
