… only in need of more gratitude …

“Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues
but the parent of all others.”
~Cicero, 106-43 B.C.

…. so the endless list continues

… up the hill to follow where He leads …

… long afternoons with big fields and dark woods …

… farmers camping… in the backyard …

(livestock can still be fed, and our own wee woods and fields explored)

… toes and fire and toast …

… fresh eggs scrambled up and ready to serve hungry campers …

:::

“When it comes to life

the critical thing is

whether you take things for granted

or take them with gratitude.”

~G.K. Chesterton

:::

… the wonder of a boy’s homemade jacob’s ladder …

… first week of school complete… balloons at the ready…

… look up…

… and let go….

… happy retrieving run …

begin again.

:::

“The aim of life is appreciation;

there is no sense in not appreciating things;

and there is no sense in having more of them

if you have less appreciation of them.”

~G.K. Chesterton

:::

Lord, I don’t need more.

I only need more gratitude.
