As a man thinketh...

A
man is what he thinks about all day long. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

So all day long I number gifts and I become consumed with the God-giver.

To be praise --- is there greater joy?

1345. When Dad opens the door of his resurrected barn, and points up to show me the beams, I nod, knowing Beams that have restored whole lives.

1346. I lit the candles and they all find their place over steaming bowls and when I look in the window, just for a moment, I'm sure I see the reflection of Grace. I smile....

1347. She took zucchinis from the garden but, truly, when I popped the seal, there was love. Does all work so transform?

1348. The fence began at the Barn and ended at the Tree.
Like the Incarnation.

Ephesians 5:20

The Plan

In the experiences of a simple/crazy life,
farming Canadian dirt, raising
half a dozen exuberant kids,
stringing sheets out on the line....

I'm praying to slow and see
the sacred in the chaos,
the Cross in the clothespin,
the flame in the bush.

Just a bit of
listening, laundry, liturgy...
life.
