If You need to remember Why You are Here

They were demure in the woods, a purple carpet rolled out after Easter for the resurrection of the King of Kings and the spring revival of all the snow sleeping world.

… royal life rising up from the refuse of the brown and the crunching dry dead, and we’re brought low…

… the tender worship lifting high…

… the boys leaping…

… even the slow life come to dance glory…

…. and though,  a bit like life, I found it all just a tad squelchy, squerchy muddy at times…

… it was a perfect afternoon circle of the clay giving Him regal praise.

The earth is our origin and destination…. The earth is not inside us; it is within: the clay from where the tree of the body grows.

When we emerge from our offices, rooms and houses, we enter our natural element. We are children of the earth: people to whom the outdoors is home….

There is something in our clay nature that needs to continually experience this outer case of the world. It helps us remember who we are and why we are here.

~John O’Donohue

“Bring My sons from afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth,
everyone who is called by My name,
and whom I have created for My glory…” ~Isa. 43:7

If you need to remember why you are here… consider going for a long walk. It’s all about giving Him all glory…
If the heaven’s declare…. let’s get out there.
